Spring Snow-peas

The weather is warming up. So, my veggies are waking up too.

I planted peas and snow peas in late autumn and they sprouted and grew a little, but not much. I went down to the south coast and when I came back I was pleasantly surprised to find a lot of new growth.

I've been picking snow peas off the vine and straight into my mouth! They're not making it inside. Sian had her first little nibble of a snow pea but she wasn't too sure if she liked them. Maybe next time with some hummus!

The Lilac is looking beautiful at the moment. There so many gardens up here in the mountains looking amazing at the moment all in bloom. It's hard to keep my eyes on the road at the moment. They keep difting off to look at the flowers in the gardens, getting ideas for my garden which has been a bit neglected since I've been pregnant and having Sian but all
inspired to get stuck in and get gardening.

Bit of creativity!

For the last 10 years or so the kids or I have collected shells on our walks on the beach to bring back to the mountains to string up for a mobile. This time when we came back from the south coast I was determined to string the shells that the boys collected. I'm happy with the result. It didn't take as long as I though it would.

This is a doodle I did with contrasting colours.

Katie arranged these beach pebbles. I love the array of earthy colours. I collected a heap of beach pebbles to make a beach pebble mosaic.

I love this photo of the kids all working together to make a sand castle.

One of Katie's drawings and below is one of Mr F's drawings.

And of course, another baby selfie!

Mt Vic Bush walk

Back home in the mountains. It's good to be back home but I'm already missing the ocean.

Today I went on a bush walk with a close friend and met up with some of her friends at a camp site. We had a wonderful time and stayed until sunset. It was so nice to go for a carefree bush walk and not have to worry about where the kids are.
